From Martha Washington to Michelle Obama

First Ladies of Fashion

The First Ladies of Fashion Exhibit will be on display at Sew Ladylike beginning Late August and lasting through December. This exhibit will feature fashiable gowns based on the styles of featured Presidential First Ladies.

Highlights of this exhibit will include a gown inspired by Mamie Eisenhower's pink inauguaration ball gown.

For more surprising highlights and stunning gowns and day dresses be sure to stop in. This exhibit will run just in time to order for the end of year holidays.

The exhibit is free to all historical fashion enthusiasts and can be seen on location at Sew Ladylike, 400 Chestnut St. Mifflinburg, PA 17844. Sew Ladylike provides an array of sewing services ranging from hemming, to dressmaking, and antique clothing reproduction. Notions, ready to wear ladies apparel, and sewing patterns are also available.

View the exhibit during our normal business hours: Sun. by appt., Mon - Thurs. 10am - 6pm, Fri. 9:30 am - 1pm.

All dresses, including those in the vintage fashion exhibit, may be purchased custom fitted to your personal measurements. You may select alternate fabrics and accessories for a customized look.
